In 2015 the company underwent a full brand overhaul, changing their trading name from Polyurethane Progress Ltd to PolyGlobal, but kept their roots firmly in West Yorkshire.

As well as a strong, established UK customer base, PolyGlobal export
components to 18 countries, mainly throughout Europe, but also China, America and the Caribbean and have gained new customers in Hungary, Estonia, Romania and Turkey in the last 12 months.
The aim of Made in Britain is to bring together the entire British
manufacturing community, united with the use of the registered collective mark which is registered with UKIPO across 30 product classes.

Made In Yorkshire – Collaboration Award Winners 2019
Earlier this year, PolyGlobal were announced as the winners of the Made In Yorkshire Collaboration Award in recognition of their partnership with Bradford University’s Polymer Interdisciplinary Research facility.
PolyGlobal are working with the university to test the mechanical performance and integrity of its core range of materials. The partnership has also helped facilitate the launch of Hyperpol™, a range of high-performance polyurethane elastomers.

They are proud to be finalists in The Manufacturer MX Awards 2019 (TMMX) in both the Achieving Customer Value and International Trade categories.
The Manufacturer MX Awards are known for being the UK’s largest and most rigorous industry awards programme. To be shortlisted for the Achieving Customer Value award PolyGlobal were required to show how their customer strategy has contributed to the growth of the business, helped drive innovation, improve operational excellence and enhance customer service.
PolyGlobal’s commitment to export and how they have expanded their overseas business with an increase in international sales, contributing significantly to the company’s future, were key criteria in the International Trade category.
In recent weeks they have been visited by a panel of industry experts and
leading academics at their Wakefield site, and faced another panel at a Judging Day in Bristol.
The winners of these awards will be announced on Thursday 14th November at the TMMX Awards Ceremony at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool. Managing Director, Jordan Cook will attend along with Jamie Illingworth and Vicki Bottomley, representatives from their Sales & Marketing department.
PolyGlobal have also been shortlisted as finalists in the Exporter of The
Year category in The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.
The shortlist was drawn up after a marathon judging session at The Yorkshire Post’s head office in Leeds.
All the companies to have made the grade will now go though to an event at
the Emerald Stadium Headingley on Wednesday 6th November.
The awards ceremony will be attended by PolyGlobal’s Jordan Cook – Managing Director, Andy Young – Sales & Marketing Manager, Jamie Illingworth – Account Manager and Vicki Bottomley – Sales & Marketing Coordinator.
