PolyGlobal – Made in Yorkshire Manufacturing Award Nomination

Wakefield based manufacturer, PolyGlobal, are delighted to have kicked off 2020 with an award nomination for the The Insider Made in Yorkshire Manufacturing Export Award.

Export is a key growth area for PolyGlobal who specialise in the injection and cast moulding of engineering plastics. They currently supply into 21 countries mainly throughout Europe but also China, America and the Caribbean and have gained new customers in Australia, Norway and Turkey in the last year. Export accounts for 25% of their overall turnover and in the last three years export targets have been consistently exceeded, with Germany in particular, showing strong sales performance.

As a second or third tier supplier to major global companies, PolyGlobal deliver every aspect of the moulding service from identifying the problem, helping to design the best solution, sourcing the most suitable material for manufacturing and testing it to ensure it meets international and industry requirements.

Their customer base is diverse, spanning the agriculture, construction, automotive, offshore and rail sectors with such products as hydraulic and pneumatic seals, wheels and wheel coatings, screening components, scrapers, conveyor rollers, trunnion rollers, packaging and handling solutions, anti-vibration buffers and bushes, and cable protection products.

The awards dinner will be held at the Hilton City Hotel in Leeds on 5 March 2020 and has become the biggest event of its type recognising manufacturers in Yorkshire and the Humber. Made in Yorkshire is also part of the wider Made in the UK series, with winners from each regional category going on to compete against those from other regions across Britain at the Made in the UK Awards in Liverpool in June.
